GRABŠTEJN OPEN 2026

Czech Discgolf Tour 2026, PDGA B Pro/Am

With great joy and responsibility, we invite you to the second stop of the Czech Discgolf Tour 2026, which will take you all the way to the very north of Bohemia, to the region known as the Three Borders area.

You can look forward to the unique setting of Golf Club Grabštejn, where you will play disc golf on vast golf greens covering nearly 300 hectares as well as on forest holes inspired by the very best Finnish courses – all in a truly original design. This is an atmosphere you definitely should not miss.

Grabštejn is a tiny settlement within the cadastral area of the village of Chotyně, located below the castle of the same name. Thanks to its excellent accessibility, it is easy to get here – from Prague via the expressway with an exit just before Hrádek nad Nisou. For players coming from Moravia, travelling via Poland may also be a convenient option. Liberec and Hrádek nad Nisou are both just 10 minutes away. Chotyně train station is also located within a par 8–10 distance (please do not try this).

Tournament format, registration and categories

The tournament capacity is 140 players and it is a three-day PDGA B-tier event. Registration takes place in 4 phases according to the Czech Discgolf Tour rules.

Phase 1 opens on 10. 2. at 20:00, Phase 2 on 17. 4. at 20:00, Phase 3 on 24. 4. at 20:00, Phase 4 on 1. 5. at 20:00 and Phase 5 on 8. 5. at 20:00.

The FPO, FP40, FA3 and FJ18 divisions will have their own shorter layout. The MA3 division is still being considered, because playing a true professional-level course is one of the main motivations for amateurs to participate in a tournament of this type.

We compete according to the current PDGA rules. All players are required to keep score. This means that each player should keep their own score – ideally in the PDGA Digital Scorecard, with a second record in iDiscgolf Live Scoring, or alternatively on a paper scorecard that will be available at the tournament.
To confirm registration, the entry fee must be paid within 7 days of registration via the payment gateway here on iDiscgolf.cz.

The entry fee is: 1 500 CZK for MPO, FPO, MP40, FP40, 1 300 CZK for the amateur divisions MA3 and FA3, 1 000 CZK for the junior divisions MJ18 and FJ18.

Players who are not members of ČADG will pay an additional fee of 300 CZK. If your club is paying your entry fee, please contact your club chairman – they can pay for multiple players at once and will also receive an invoice.

Players who do not pay the entry fee within 7 days and do not contact us in any other way will be ruthlessly moved to the waiting list. If a player is moved for the second time, that player will be removed from the registration list.

In all categories, players compete for original medals for the winners. Half of the collected entry fees in the professional divisions will be paid back to the top 40 % of players in those divisions. In the amateur divisions (MJ18, FJ18, MA3 and FA3), players compete for vouchers to the Ultimo.cz disc golf e-shop worth 50 % of the entry fee for the top 40 % of players.

Accommodation

Camping directly on the course is allowed from Thursday. Camping is free of charge (as part of the green fee). However, please note that there are no showers on site. Showers are available at Kristýna campsite, which can be reached by car in approximately 10 minutes. The Golf Club facilities only offer restrooms with sinks.

The local bar will be open throughout the day and evening, with dinner and breakfast available.

⚠️ At the same time, we kindly ask you to let us know the approximate number of people staying overnight at the course area. In order to ensure the smooth running of the event and provide the necessary facilities, it is important for us to know the estimated number in advance. Please email us at: club@discgolfers.cz.

Another accommodation option is the nearby Kristýna campsite in Hrádek nad Nisou, which offers both tent spots and cabins. However, we recommend not waiting too long with your reservation – the campsite is very popular and is often fully booked.

There is no guesthouse or other accommodation directly in Grabštejn. However, Hrádek nad Nisou and especially the regional city of Liberec are only a few minutes away and offer a wide range of hotels as well as Airbnb accommodation.

Food

Throughout the event, a bar / bistro will be open directly on site. A rich menu will be prepared every day, so you will be able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food here is truly excellent and very reasonably priced – we definitely recommend trying it.

The bar will stay open until the evening, possibly even into the early morning hours, so we believe that besides the game itself, we will also enjoy a pleasant atmosphere.

The menu will be published before the start of the event.

Tournament schedule

Thursday – 4. 6.
The course will be fully prepared for practice and reserved exclusively for tournament participants. The venue is open from 6:00 until dark.
For practice rounds, a two-seat golf cart can be rented for a fee 500,- per round (subject to availability).
 
Friday – 5. 6.
6:00 – venue opens
8:00 – tournament center opens
9:00 – 14:00 – group tee-offs (category order: MA3, FA3, FPO, FJ18, FP40, MJ18, MP40, MPO)
The tournament director reserves the right to choose the order of the groups within the playing day in agreement with specific players.
 
Saturday – 6. 6.

Sunday – 7. 6.

14:00 – tee-off of the lead group in the MPO division
The award ceremony will take place in the tournament center immediately after the final group finishes

Due to the massive green fee and the impracticality of running disc golf and golf simultaneously, practice is only possible on Thursday. From Thursday to Sunday, the entire 300-hectare venue is reserved for disc golf and closed to golfers.

Expect a long layout of around 3,300 meters, with holes and views that even the Pro Tour would not need to be ashamed of, and shorter tee pads for women.

The complete caddy book will be available very soon – ideally before the start of the first registration phase.

A league registration fee is added to the entry fee: 100 Kč.

Juniors (up to age 18 by birth year) who are ČADG members get a subsidy of 50 % of the entry fee, max. 400 Kč.
