Disc Golf in Schools

A development project run by the Czech Disc Golf Association in cooperation with the Czech School Sport Association (AŠSK ČR), bringing disc golf directly into school lessons and extracurricular activities.
Disc golf is an easy, fun and accessible sport suitable for all age groups. All you need is one disc per player and some outdoor space — a school playing field, a park or the local countryside.
The project helps schools easily include disc golf in PE lessons and junior groups, and offers teachers the support and equipment they need.
What the project offers schools
- teacher training through an accredited course (more about the course)
- teaching materials and methodological support (teaching materials)
- the chance to receive a disc golf basket (disc golf basket as a gift)
- involving pupils in tournaments and other activities (pupils' tournaments)
How the project works
The project runs across regions in cooperation with local clubs and AŠSK. It typically involves the following steps:
- training course for teachers
- onboarding the school and providing basic equipment
- organising pupils' tournaments
- follow-up training and activity development
Project lead
The project's main lead is Mgr. Martin Havel, who is responsible for the project's expert direction, coordination and development across the Czech Republic. In individual regions, the project runs in cooperation with local partners and organisations.
