ČADG Property and Liability Insurance and Accident Insurance ČOV (ČUS)

Property and liability insurance — Generali Česká pojišťovna

ČADG has arranged property and liability insurance for its members and for participants in ČADG events.

1. Who is insured

The insurance covers:

  • full ČADG members for the duration of their membership,
  • participants in ČADG events who pay an entry fee or event fee (so-called short-term members).

The policyholder is Česká asociace discgolfu, z. s.

2. Which situations are covered

The insurance covers liability for damage or harm a member causes to a third party:

  • bodily injury (injury, death, including mental distress),
  • property damage (damage, destruction, loss or theft of an item),
  • pure financial loss (e.g. financial harm without direct damage to health or property).

This is conditional on the damage occurring:

  • while playing disc golf, training or being present on the disc golf course,
  • in direct connection with disc golf activity,
  • on the territory of the Czech Republic,
  • during the period of insurance and membership.

The insurance also covers damage caused to active participants in an organised sports competition.

3. Indemnity limits

  • Sublimit per insured person per claim event: CZK 1,000,000
  • Maximum payout per insured person per policy year: CZK 2,000,000
  • Total payout for all insured persons per policy year: CZK 2,000,000
  • Special limit for damage to disc golf equipment entrusted to ČADG: CZK 200,000

4. What the insurance does not cover (key exclusions)

The insurance specifically does not cover:

  • damage caused intentionally,
  • damage occurring during business or for-profit activity, and others.

The full list of exclusions is set out in the policy terms.

5. Important notice

  • The insurance does not cover a member's own injuries or losses.
  • Only liability for harm caused to other people is covered.

6. How to proceed in the event of a claim

  1. Document the event — photographs, description, witnesses.
  2. Fill in the Report an Insurance Claim (link below) and send the event documentation to vr@cadg.cz.
  3. A ČADG representative will file the claim.
  4. The ČADG Executive Board will notify the person who reported the claim about the next steps.

UNIQA accident insurance

UNIQA's accident insurance also covers members of the Czech Disc Golf Association (ČADG) through their membership in the umbrella sports body, the Czech Sports Union (ČUS).

1. Who is insured

The insurance covers:

  • members of sports federations affiliated with ČUS (including ČALD and therefore ČADG),
  • all participants in organised events (training sessions, tournaments, competitions, championship events, training camps, recruitment events),
  • people working at these events in an employment or contractual capacity,
  • non-members taking part in an organised sports event.

The following are not insured:

  • people engaging in activities that are not organised by a sports federation or club.

2. When the insurance is active

  • during organised sports activities (disc golf tournaments, leagues, training sessions, training camps),
  • during organised travel to these events,
  • worldwide.

3. What counts as an accident

  • sudden, unexpected action of an external force or of one's own physical force,
  • dislocations, tears of tendons, ligaments or muscles,
  • burns, lightning strike, electric shock,
  • drowning, tetanus or rabies arising from an accident.

What is not an accident:

  • psychological or mental conditions,
  • heart attack, stroke,
  • fatigue or stress fractures,
  • hernias without an external mechanical cause,
