About the Association

The Czech Disc Golf Association (Česká asociace discgolfu, z.s. — ČADG) is the official body that oversees disc golf in the Czech Republic. It was founded in 2011 to bring players together, organise competitions and systematically develop disc golf at national level.

Today it forms the cornerstone of organised disc golf in the Czech Republic — connecting players, clubs, organisers and the wider public.

Mission and activities of the association

ČADG's main goal is to develop disc golf in the Czech Republic. This primarily includes:

organising and overseeing tournaments and competitions
supporting players at every skill level
developing the club structure
promoting disc golf to the wider public
working with partners and institutions

The association also represents the interests of players and creates an environment in which disc golf can develop over the long term.

Position within Czech sport

ČADG continues the work of the Czech Flying Disc Association (Česká asociace létajícího disku — ČALD), which oversees flying-disc sports in the Czech Republic.

Since 2019, ČALD has operated as the umbrella body for the individual sports (e.g. ultimate frisbee, disc golf and freestyle frisbee), while ČADG focuses fully on developing disc golf.

Structure and membership

ČADG brings together:

individuals (players)
legal entities (clubs)

Clubs play a key role in running the association — they hold the decisive influence over its direction and take part in decisions through the General Meeting.

This model ensures that disc golf's development in the Czech Republic stems directly from the needs of players and the wider community.

Governing bodies of the association

General Meeting

The highest body of the association, which:

approves the action plan and budget
sets the level of membership fees
elects the association's leadership

Executive Board

The statutory body of ČADG, which runs the day-to-day operations of the association and delivers its strategy. It has up to seven members serving two-year terms of office.

Audit Committee

An independent oversight body that monitors the association's finances and operations. The Audit Committee has three members, each serving a three-year term of office.

Organising disc golf in the Czech Republic

ČADG provides the complete structure of organised disc golf in the Czech Republic, including:

national tournaments and leagues
the Czech Championship
regional competitions
records of players and results

Thanks to this structure, players have the opportunity for long-term development and to measure their performance against others across the country.

Communication and transparency

The association places a strong emphasis on open communication:

regularly publishes minutes from Executive Board meetings
posts updates on the website and on social media
publishes key documents and decisions

ČADG actively contributes to the development of disc golf in the Czech Republic through:
